The Red Coat

Topshop Boyfriend Coat (similar) ; Asos Midi Dress, Ebay Chelsea Boots, Mulberry Daria Clutch, Missguided Fedora, Accessorize and Free People Jewellery.

Today I thought I would make a post about my amazing new red coat which I found in the Topshop sale. You can find a similar version here. It is a popper front boyfriend coat and it is so soft and comfy and it goes with everything. I am not a huge fan of spending too much on a coat because every winter there is a new trend but this one I can wear always because it is such a popular style. It was £58 but down to £35 in the sale- bargain!

MAC Red Lipstick

After going out on New Years Eve and wearing my friend's MAC lipstick I just fell in love. I have always been septical about buying a product so expensive as I am usually a high street and drug store person but after using the MAC lipstick I was changed forever and it was seriously the best one I have used in a while. I have a lot of lipsticks from brands such as Max Factor and Collection 2000 but they have a tendency to have a slippery shine effect to them so the lipstick I chose was a matte one which I certainly feel brings out a brighter and more vivid colour on my lips. I went with red because it is such a statement colour and I am a huge fan of red lips, the colour I chose was 'Russian Red'. Another benefit was that even though I was drinking plenty and eating plenty NYE I found the colour lasted longer than most and I only needed to top up the colour a couple of times which is a bonus as when you're out and about the last thing you want to keep doing is topping up your make up. I also felt that the taste was pleasant and that it was very moisturing on my lips.
I have MAC brushes but have never used any of their make up but I certainly have seen so many reviews of great products which in the future I may invest in.
You can buy the product here.

New Year, New Hair

So on Wednesday I took the plunge and cut off all my hair. Well not all of it as such but from my longest point I cut off six inches. It took me a long time to get it to that length. It wasn't in bad condition it had just got to the stage where for my usually top knot it was too long and whispy to do. I had seen the long bob on a lot of girls and I have always contemplated cutting it to a long bob but I finally managed to do it. And wow I love it. It doesn't take long to dry or to style and it is so easy to maintain. I have naturally curly hair and keeping it straight all day was a chore but having it this length enables me to keep it looking fresh. It suits me down to the ground. If you're having any thoughts to cut your hair, I highly recommend that you take a deep breath and just do it, it's worth it.

 New Years Resolutions 2014

As it is heading to the 6th day of the month I thought I would share my New Years resolutions because I haven't managed to yet. I am not one for keeping my resolutions buti am going to try extra hard this year because it's my 21st this year. I will often write a huge list which I don't end up keeping so I will choose a few in depth things to aim for this year.

1. Manage My Money
I am a terrible spender whether it be clothes, makeup or holidays so my outgoings are appalling. I am earning an okay amount each month and I really think it's time I started saving more because in the next year or two I would like to be moving out and getting my own little flat to be grown up in. I will aim to save up to £400 every month which will hopefully leave me with plenty spare money too. I also want to save every £2 coin I get throughout the year and don't spend the so that they can go towards something special or certainly help towards Christmas presents for 2014.

2. Push My Career Goals
I am awful at keeping down a job, I have had 4 in about 2 and a half years.. Not because I have been sacked or anything like that it is because I feel I want to push myself for a better position somewhere. I am currently applying to an Assistant Managers job within fashion retail and I really hope I get this position not because I hate either one of my two jobs but because they're more stable and better financially. If I don't succeed at this then I will certainly keep my eyes out for another option especially because I knowing my job at Coast vacancies will shortly be coming available for more hours and pay. But I just love a challange and I love change. I may even look into doing a short fashion course in London for a week and just take the plunge.

3. Blogging Regime
I am going to set a target of 2/3 posts a week, yes that may not be a lot to some people but I often run out of things to post and I am very unorganised when it comes to blogging I just sort of did it when I felt I had something to tell you guys about but I want to become a more accomplished blog so this is the way forward. I also want to do some more full length ootds and outfit features. I also want to take more high standard photos when out and about, I have a great canon camera but I don't take it many places when I am going somewhere special.

4. The Little Things
Go on holiday, go to a festival, read more, do Norwich Fashion Week, go to London Fashion week for a day, write more, be a better girlfriend, sort my anxiety out not only to help me but to help others around me, say "yes" more often.

Before any makeup:

First Product.

I got the No.7 Essentially Natural foundation in Calico for Christmas which I asked for because I needed a new foundation but I did want a more expensive high street foundation. Usually I just go for a Collection 2000 one or a BB cream because if I cake too much or slightly choose the wrong shade wearing foundation looks terrible on me. I have very dry skin during winter so this light foundation is perfect. It is certainly lightweight and hydrating. It minimizes any pores and hides blemishes. I highly recommend this product if you are after a new foundation and don't want to spend much as at £9.95 it's a bargain!

Next Product:

This mascara is definitely in my top 3 of mascaras. I have used Benefit's They're real and also Colossal and I feel that this is a mix between both. It volumes and defines your lashes and it is said that it helps to create a look four times longer than your natural length of lashes. I do think that I agree with this estimate. This product costs only £9.99 and both products so far are featured in Boots.
